Hoist up the Thing
A downloadable game
You are all members of a ship's crew, working with each other and the rest of the crew to reach the end of a dangerous voyage. Unfortunately, none of you has any idea what you're doing. Can you reach your goal at the end of the voyage before your deception is discovered?
The voyage is aided by a simple system where every roll you make has a chance to drain a shared morale pool. Players are encouraged to narrate their desperate lies and slipups as the threat of discovery looms closer and closer.
Expect improvised shanties, confused directions, blundered combat, overwhelming mutinies, and, maybe, a Kraken or two.
The game was inspired by the song of the same name by The Longest Johns. They're exceptionally talented so you should definitely give them a listen to get in the spirit of the game.
You're also welcome to use the system in your own game if you like. Just credit me somewhere and let me know, I'd love to give it a try.

For the Good Finale do characters get to add a stat to the roll or is a straight five or more roll?
Just a straight roll. The intent was that most character would end up battered and bruise, with to odd lucky character here and there. But yeah good point, that could be clearer.
